The HoloFood Chicken microbial genome catalogue contains bacterial species from Chicken gut.
The genomes contribute to the MGnify chicken-gut metagenome-assembled genome (MAG) catalogue and annotations for them are available on MGnify.
The catalogue was generated using samples from both the ileum and caecum.

Caecum
Maximum likelihood phylogenetic tree of 822 bacterial species from the caecum MAG catalogue and 153 bacterial species from the ileum catalogue generated with iqtree and plotted in iTol. The branches of the tree are coloured by phyla as indicated in the key. The coloured ring around the outside indicates whether the MAG is novel with respect to the GTDB.
